Help samsung galaxy s problems with sound

kendo

Lurker
Hey. I am having a major problem with the sound on my galaxy s. The ringtone and notification both work but i occassionally have to put it on loudspeaker to speak to people. Also when i am using an app, watching a film or listening to music there is no sound from the loudspeaker. When i try to plug the headphones in it completelt freezes my phone and when i remove them again the film or music starts playing again...still with no sound. I have tried doing a soft and hard cell reset and using other ussd codes. Definately not the hardware as my phone rings when someone calls. Please help

I am having the same problem...when i play videos or music, there is no sound from the speaker...when i get a call, i cant hear anything without putting it on loudspeaker...plz help..

If you go to Settings > Sound > Volume there are four volume controllers. Make sure all are set to maximum. Also, when in a call, use the volume up button to increase the volume of the earpiece speaker.

Ray.
