Samsung galaxy s2 discharges as soon as disconnected

Hello! Usually my phone was able to hold like 2 days with no charging and now suddently it discharges as soon as i disconnect from charger. From 100% to 0%
Before average charging time was 5 hours. Now its like a minute or two. It charges from 0% to 100% in instant. I left it to charge for a day, when tryed to disconnect, it dropped on 0 again.

The S2 phone is a really old device... Congratulations for keeping it going so long.

Unfortunately batteries in phone have a limited lifespan and it sounds like the battery has failed.

If you are able to source a replacement that should solve the problem

Nvm. It got fixed. The good old methot of smashing things against walls worked. The screen didnt even crack! But the batery works fine now. I got no clue how smashing things can fix them, but quite often it actually does

The S2 battery cover used to get loose somehow. I'd probably be looking for that part myself if I hadn't sold mine.

If you can find that and an unused battery you should be golden.
