Help Samsung Galaxy S3 E-mail issues need assistance

Hi guys

First of all I have recently swapped from apple's iPhone to the new Samsung Galaxy S3 and how good is this, haven't looked back!

I have one small drama regarding my email. I have a webmail account
( josh@joshburdon.com.au ) and have set it up from I am led to believe correctly.

When I am connected to a wifi connection I can send/receive messages perfectly, my issue is when I am not connected to a wifi connection and I am out and about I can't seem to send/receive messages. Whenever I try to refresh the page it brings up "Connection Error (Josh Burdon)".

I feel that this is some very simple setting issue that I am missing but it is causing a lot of inconvenience for myself.

I would appreciate peoples advice on what may be causing this issue.

One other quick question - battery life. The only down side I can see to this phone is as I am regularly using it I am not even making it through the business day without it going flat. What is everybody's recommendations on app's for extending battery life, and other tips.

Kind regards

Josh

I don't understand your first question, do you mean that your email clients fails to refresh even if you have the internet through your data plan?

The S3 has a great battery life (report: Samsung Galaxy S3's battery benchmark tests show good performance) maybe you are doing something wrong like leaving apps that consume resources open in which case you'll want to use a process and battery optimizer something like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.support.cosmos&hl=en

Hi Josh,

Can you browse the internet when off WiFi? Go into settings, wireless and network, mobile networks and make sure use packet data is ticked.

My husband and I both have Galaxy s3 phones and they have version 4.1.1
We just noticed that the option to change the frequency of checking email has vanished. Has anyone else noticed this? Or did they move it? lol
We know where it used to be but it no longer is on the list. Thanks for any info....
