Help Samsung Galaxy S3 Keeps Dying

My Samsung Galaxy S3 completely dies randomly. It was originally just when I took a picture, but now it happens randomly. I've gone to a T-Mobile dealer, called tech support, gone through and removed most applications and it's still happening. I can't even power it on, I have to remove the battery and re-install before it will turn back on. Any suggestions?

I keep having the same problem. Initially it only happened when using Maps or taking a picture, but over time it gets worse and worse!

The guy at my local repair shop suggested either a factory reset, or buying a new battery.
