Help samsung galaxy s3 screen lock problems

few weeks back i changed some settings in my s3 and put screen lock now im trying to terminate the lock but there is no option
its giving only 3 options pattern pin n password but no option to deactivate the lock
please help

Did you set up a pattern type lock or password or PIN?
Click on one of those 3 listed, then type the pin/password or enter the pattern and it should disable the lock.

What carrier version S3 do you have?

no i hvnt set any of it but option of none is locked ...

as you can see on the pic pattern pin and password text is bright and other options are not working when i tab of any of it no action

okee dokee...now what happens when you tap on "pattern" as seen in your pic? Do you have to type your pattern? If so, it will, or should, disable the pattern unlock.

hmm..good point Rx.. As I don't have that text on mine as far as the "disabled by administrator ................." text goes.

Something is set as an administrator on your phone and it won't let you not have a lockscreen for security purposes.

Could be corporate email, corporate WiFi settings. Ect

Is your phone company issued, or did your workplace put restrictions on it?

Then as Rxpert surmised, they may require a lockscreen security of some sort to protect the data on your device in case your phone gets lost or stolen.

Quite possibly not...Can you contact your IT admin at your company about it?

Anyhoo, all I can advise at this time, is try to contact whomever issued you your phone, and ask them if they can remove the restrictions on the lockscreen so that you can change it to have no pattern unlock.

Was it always set up that way since you first got it? What I mean to say is, when you first got the company issued phone, was there a pattern unlock lockscreen?

Settings>security > device administrators should show you what has administrator rights.

Hopefully mikestony can confirm that works on your device.

no it was unlocked ... i few weeks back i activated the screen lock on pattern and now im trying to unlock it the option of none is dead
