Help Samsung galaxy s5 quirks

I have a lot of problems with my Samsung galaxy s5 phone.
- The microphone and/or speaker is very poor so I have trouble talking to someone
- I have trouble getting wi-fi connections when other phones are connecting
- Phone runs hot
- Battery life is short

Can someone recommend another phone that is more reliable?

There are a vast number of phones to choose from, and most S5 owners will say that theirs doesn't have the problems you describe. So to get a relevant recommendation you'll need to say something about what you want in a phone, your price range, what country you are in, etc.

I live in the USA and I need a reliable, quality phone. Texting, phone, Internet access. I really don't need all the features of the Galaxy. Emphasis on speed and quality in a medium priced phone.

As you're in the US, who's your carrier? Like if it's Verizon, Sprint, Straight Talk, etc, I think you'll need to look at what they supply or accept for BYOD.
