Hey there forums, I just bought a Verizon Samsung galaxy S5 online, android 4.4.4, Baseband version G900VVRU1ANK2. The phone was listed a unlocked, I tried a metro PCS sim card into it & got this error message, "sim card from an unknown source", I cannot get service. I looked into it & learned there are ways of fixing this problem but the the phone would have to be rooted first. I tried towelroot & got an error saying "this phone isn't supported", I also tried Kingo root & the root process failed. I heard towel root does work on an earlier filmware version but not mine. I spent loads on this phone, what can I do? is there anyway to root this thing? Any help gladly appreciated :-(
