Help Samsung galaxy S5 wifi help

So, I got this phone about a month ago and had no trouble with it until now. I went on a cruise and I didn't wanna spend money so I turned off data and data roaming. Idk if I turned off any other settings but after that, my phone had a bunch of wifi issues. One issue is that I had to turn the wifi on and off again for it to detect new wifi networks which I seemed to have fixed, but after that got fixed it wouldn't auto connect to the networks. Also when I download wifi analyzers they can't detect the wifi when I am on wifi and the connection is soo slow but it was really fast before the cruise. I have tried a lot of things but no luck so far so could someone help me please? Thanks!

I have several WiFi tools that I use from time to time.
Some of them are better at scanning the world, some actually will help you to "fix the phone".

One I really like is * WiFi Overview 360 Pro - Android Apps on Google Play
This one has a lot of different screens that will allow you to see what is "out there" in detail.
but does not have the internal phone access that the 2nd one I show here does.

The 2nd one I like a lot is * Wifi Analyzer - Android Apps on Google Play
this one has a menu to let you force certain channels and/or bands ON/OFF... it has a lot of features, you need to explore it well.

I have two others that I sort of think of as "toys to play with"
WifiScanner and Interference Analyzer...
* WiFi Scanner - Android Apps on Google Play
* WiFi Interference Analyzer - Android Apps on Google Play

the Interference Analyser is useful to note more than one signal on a channel, but actually WiFi Overview 360 does a very good job of that also, just displays it differently.

hope one of these helps you out.
