Samsung Galaxy s6 G920F, G920I - Network Frequencies

Hi there,

I have read multiple times the difference between the G920F and G920I is - F is global and I is Australian.
Though I haven't read if they hold much difference.

Also,
The SM-G920F has LTE Band 20 (800) where the SM-G920I does not.
The SM-G920I has LTE Band 28 (700) (and TDD LTE band 40) where the SM-G920F does not.

Is there going to be any major differences in the frequencies? Will it be noticeable?

The reason I ask is because its $100 cheaper for me to get a G920F rather than the G920I, I will be buying one for my girlfriend and I just cant decide which one.

Thanks :)

TD mode LTE I think is important if you're in China, not sure what other countries might use it though. Certainly in Europe it's FD mode LTE. What country are you intending to grey import to, i.e. where are you, Australia?
http://willmyphonework.net/ is a very useful site to check.
An important point for grey importing Samsungs, is that they must be activated and a call made with a local SIM for the country or region they're intended for.

Thanks mate! Yeah Australia. Looks like the global version might work though the 920f. But could be safer to pay the extra for the 920i. Would you agree, or is it not so much important for Australia?
