Samsung Galaxy S7 Extremely Slow Since Last Android Update (AT&T)

Hello everyone:

I have a couple of Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphones from AT&T and since we got the phones in March, there's been a few updates that downloaded to the phones.

However, it seems like the last update android released for their smartphones, it is causing the phones to run extremely slow/laggy. What should take like less than a second to do is taking sometimes like 30+ seconds to do.

Now on one of the phones, a virus may have downloaded to it. I did install Avast Mobile Security on it and it didn't find any viruses. That particular phone is running much slower to the point where it seems like it's unusable.

What sorts of things can I do to speed up the phones so they work fast like they should?

Restarting the phone also does not help any either.

The first thing to do after any update is to wipe the phone's cache partition to clear it of any detritus from a previous firmware. This is NOT a Factory Data Reset and does NOT affect your files, data, etc:
