Things were working fine until a few days ago when I noticed I was only able to get 3g service. My wife can still get 4g LTE just fine so it's my device with the problem. After removing/reinserting the SIM card a few times and attempting to "Register on Verizon Wireless", it finally kicked in and now I can get 4g (for what it's worth, the status icon now also says 4g+ sometimes, which I have never seen before and I'm not sure what that means).
I've tested functionality and so far everything seems to work normally except that I cannot send out SMS. I can receive SMS just fine. I can also send out MMS. It's just regular outbound text SMS that won't work.
Are there any ideas you guys have for me to get this working?
