Samsung Galaxy S8 music over Bluetooth in car static-y

This just started a few months ago and it's driving me absolutely mad. AS the title says, my S8 has ridiculous static when using Bluetooth for music. I've tried many different things to diagnose it.

• Uninstalling player app and trying a different one.
• Using a different phone over Bluetooth.
• Unpairing/Pairing the devices together again.
• Clearing the Bluetooth cache in my phone.
• Using a different Bluetooth-enabled speaker.
• Restarting my phone.
• Turning Bluetooth on/off.

I haven't tested my phone in another car, but I used someone else's phone and it worked fine

Edit: I tested it in another car, static as well.

What would I be able to do about it? Or are there other things I could do on my phone to make sure it's not some stupid setting other than factory reset?

Other than doing a factory reset, it sounds like you've already tried everything else you can. And if a reset doesn't clear it, then it could be a hardware fault like a bad Bluetooth module, repair required.
