Samsung Galaxy SII 4G(International) vs Samsung Galaxy SII X?

I'm on Fido Canada right now; contract ending in the next week ($20/month 50min/unlim-txt(no picture)). Looking to move to a good android phone from a slider/text. Fido doesnt have any good android phones other than the nexus which requires a Max Plan.

Right now I'm looking at:

Samsung Galaxy SII (i19100M) from Virgin Mobile on a $20 50min/unlim-txt-picture plan. Retail: $399.99, or Pay $169now and $230 on SuperTab.

Or

Samsung Galaxy SII X from koodo(/telus) on a $25 ($20/month 50min + $5/month unlim-txt-picture, addon). Retail: $300, or Pay $150now, and $150 on Tab.

Seems like the SII X is newer and has a 25% faster cpu vs the International SII, yet is cheaper?

Also wondering what the performance of VM vs Koodo is?

Galaxy S3 is where it's at. Telus here though my phone is the international version.
