Help Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 printing

Hello,

First post here. I have a Galaxy Tab 10.1 and I am trying to figure out a way to print. Now, I am aware of the many apps that can be used to print to a wifi printer, but I do not have that option.

I work out of my car, traveling from location to location, do not have access to a wireless network, and need to be able to print documents from my tablet.

Any solutions?

Hi PP,

It looks like you and I are in a similar boat!

I am also trying to work out the best way of printing from the SGT 10.1. Please see the thread that I started here:

I can't believe that Samsung released a product that couldn't do something as simple as print a document. Or, indeed, any other company for that matter.

Anyway, I haven't given up. Suggest you and I continue to compare notes.

Good luck!

P.S. For your situation, you could check out HP's ePrint solutions. Not ideal but worth a look.

Hi PP,

Just to let you know that I have ended up buying an HP Deskjet 3000 J310 Series Wi-Fi enabled printer and I use PrinterShare on the Tab. Works well.

Hope you find a solution.

What kind of connection do you need for Printer Share to work?

You can use Cloud Print now on some computers without a computer's help. You would need both the printer and the tab connected ti the Internet, though.

Hi artbytes,

PrinterShare permits connection by WiFi, Bluetooth or Google Cloud. I'm using WiFi, which works very well. In order to use PrinterShare, the first step is to install the free version and then run a test page. If that works, it is then necessary to upgrade to Premium by purchasing a key, which costs

Does it somehow print direct from an app (eg Polaris or S-Note) or only thought the back door, such as by hunting down the file in File manager?
