Samsung Genio Slide - Text messages?

I'm about to delete the text messages I have over 2 years stored on this phone. Without finding a proper way to mass transfer text messages, I'm going to have to when I give it away. Sad much?

There's plenty of ways to keep hold of them.

If you're looking to transfer them to a new phone, you can use this app:

Or, you could back them up to your gmail account with this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tv.studer.smssync&feature=search_result
They'll essentially be converted to emails, between you and your gmail contacts, with an 'SMS' label.

Thanks for the recommendations but my Samsung Genio Slide is not an Android phone. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus I have now however will have no problems supporting those apps. That was why I put the thread in the Lounge as well because I thought it had nothing to do with Android.

Don't know if this will work, but I'll just toss it out there. Otherwise, yeah, might need to delete them. Are they important, or just sentimental?

Thanks for taking the time to reply but sorry but it doesn't work, I've already looked into Microsoft Exchange Activesync and Synchronize already. They just don't provide the options for SMS, only memos, calendars and such. And they're just sentimental I guess, my chat logs with my friends

Does anyone have any experience with the Vodafone Red box service? And is it worth a shot to try that first.

But does anyone know how I could use SMS file on my phone (Galaxy Nexus Android) so that the text messages are transfered/viewable?
