Samsung hit the ball outa the park with the Note 7

And now we're stuck with lesser devices. I'm trying out a Pixel XL for two weeks and will probably then go back to a Note 4 I just bought on Ebay so I can carry an extra battery, have Micro SD, have squared off edges which are much easier to handle than rounded edges as on the iPhones, Note 5 and Note 7, and a leatherette back so I don't need a case.

yeah, I have switched over to a folding leatherette case which I am really learning to like.

Folded over and closed the phone is really protected from some very harsh knocks. and it protects the screen from anything, even big gravel. Plus it has slots to hold credit cards... kind of neat... at 1st, I said "no way jose", but it is growing on me.

Will Samsung get this fire/explosiveness issue figured out and come up with a safe Note 8?

I can't believe it would be that difficult. S7s don't catch fire. Does just the addition of a stylus, and a few other things add that much complexity, i.e. all of the other safe Notes which I loved but none as much as the 7.

Pixel phones are great. Not lesser by any stretch
