Samsung Internet App & Editing Quick Access Shortcuts

I attempted to fix the battery draining issue on my Note 4 today by doing a factory reset.

Although I'd backed up all the important stuff, the factory reset wiped out all my 'Quick Access' shortcuts in the Samsung Internet app.

Prior to factory resetting the device, I had my 'Quick Access' shortcuts with nice compact names, such as Amazon, Google, Ebay, etc

ISTR having to manually change the title of each of these, but cannot recall how despite it only being about two weeks ago.

However, after after adding the same 'Quick Access' shortcuts manually following the factory reset, the same links have a longer names, which I cannot edit:

Also the a lot of the site icons (favicons) do not show any more, which makes the 'Quick Access' area looks crap.

They were OK before the factory reset, so how do I edit the 'Quick Access' shortcuts to make them look great again?

To make matters worse, the factory reset didn't work and my Note 4 fully drained a 100% charged Samsung battery in about 7 hours, so was a total waste of time, but that's another issue.

The only workaround I can find is to uninstall the newest Android internet app (purple icon) and add the 'Quick Access' shortcuts into the previous version (blue earth icon), which allows you to edit the name of the shortcut.

Once everything is OK, upgrade to newest version, whereby the ability to edit any future 'Quick Access' shortcuts is lost.

What is it with 'Step Backwards' upgrades these days?.

Why not just install a different launcher, like Nova, that will let you edit your shortcuts names?
Because these are the Samsung internet app shortcuts, kinda like bookmarks, or the frequently used app shortcuts on the Chrome homepahe. Nova only affects the homescreen.
