Samsung J3 WhatsApp can’t install

Hi I just got my daughter a Samsung J3 and we can’t install WhatsApp (we get the error message “unable to connect to the internet” when we are connected). Have tried all the recommended fixes to no avail - any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Thanks but no I don’t think so; we are connected fine for everything else across different devices?
