Samsung J5 2016 camera replacement with 2017?

Hello. I need to replace my Samsung J5 2016 main camera and was curious to know if Samsung J5 2017 would fit it? 2017 model has advantage of better f/1.7 main camera but other specs such as resolution is same as 2016, dimensions are probably also similar?

I don't know (photos of replacement parts on eBay look very similar, but that's far from a guarantee). But it needs full electronic and software compatibility as well, not just to physically fit. If the phone's firmware can't drive it properly or decode the images correctly then it won't work even if it fits and connects. Those are the questions I'd be asking.

J5 2017 use Sony IMX258 sensor with 13MP resolution. However I can find data on J5 2016 sensor. I can find model name on sensor module itself?
