Help Samsung J7 Shuts Down to 0 at 40%

So I've been having trouble with my phone's battery lately and decided to replace it. I was so happy with my new battery, but there's a problem: my phone shuts down at 40%. Also when I charge, it says it is charging but the percentage does not rise. Your help is much appreciated. Thank you.

My wife is having the same issue with her J7 but it's more like around %25-%30 . It will just shut off and has to be plugged in.

Is the replacement battery an original Samsung or some other third-party one, and where did you buy it?
