Samsung Kies error

Having this error and can't find anything close to it.

The error reads upon opening:

Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.

Process ID=0x2d4 (724), Thread ID=0x130 (304).

To my surprise, I found a fix.

My windows(XP) was not fully up to date with all of its updates, after a couple hours of installing updates, Kies is now fully functioning. I hope this will help someone else with the same problem!

Yea having the updates special with older system really helps. I bet it was SP3 update that ended up fixing your issue.
