Help Samsung Kies software suite

i have read on here http://www.unwiredview.com/2010/02/03/samsung-galaxy-i7500-to-get-android-2-1-in-q2/ if the galaxy lite dose get updated it will be done with is Samsung Kies software suite dont no if any body else has seen it

Kies is for samsung phones but i am not too sure that you can upgrade firmware using it. Odin would be my best guess.

You do realise Odin is not supported in any way by Samsung? In the Samsung New PC Suite it says that you can upgrade the Spica from there when an update is avaliable. So, that's my guess.
