Help Samsung Music Duplicate Songs & Keeps Stopping

Hello. I have a Galaxy S8. I do not have an SD card. I've only been using the phone's 64 GigaBytes of internal memory for my whole time owning it. The issue I am having started a few days ago. When I open Samsung Music app all of my songs appear to be duplicated. I have two copies of each song. If I try to play either copy the music will begin playing but the app will "stop" and close. If I try to re-open the app it will close again. I'm not sure why this is happening.

I've only tried one fix so far, which was going to Settings > Storage > Samsung Music > Clear Data and then rebooting the phone.

My phone's storage didn't have physical duplicates of songs as far as I could tell.

Can anyone help me use my Samsung Music app normally again please? I'm constantly listening to music so this is quite the annoyance.

You might try downloading the player again from the play store. It sounds a bit like your player has developed a problem. As a test, you could try another player from the play store as a test to make certain your library has not been corrupted in some fashion. I'm guessing it's a player problem however and a fresh install should be the fix.

Best of luck. No tunes makes for a long day.
