Samsung mysteriously halts Android Oreo rollout for Galaxy S8 and S8+

Well to be fair to Samsung they are hardly the first manufacturer to pause the rollout of a major update.

Yeah, not surprised but you know this forum and many others. There will be a whole bunch of complaints and "Where is my update" posts/threads.

Well, of course they had to give you a reason to buy an S9... o_O

Before the S8 batteries start suspiciously exploding.

And yet Corporate CEO's have to have the memes about their faulty products continually beat over their heads, to make sure they don't try to repeat history.

It's like a learning disability, only it's worse because rather than a worst case of a child repeating a grade, it's thousands (upon millions) in currency or of a product afflicted, along with anyone and everyone that actually spent money on it, or the amount of money spent trying to have a proper fix.

Of course it'd be a lot less of a problem if they'd see wisdom and go back to a battery design that allows their end users to simply replace it themselves. Then if there is a defective battery line, said users could simply send that in by itself, and have the phone ready for a working replacement. Rather than sealed batteries needing repair on par with freakin' open heart surgery.:thinking:
