I did a search on this topic but didn't find anything similar so I thought I'd post here.
Background: I switched from a Motorola phone (excellent radios) to a Samsung phone (shitty radios) and immediately had problems with phone call quality and dropped calls on my phone.
I put in a problem ticket with Verizon and they informed me that the signal in my area was 'weak' due to overlapping tower area coverage. I find this excuse to be 'weak' since all the other phones (Motorola's iPhone's) have 4 bars and the tower is about 2 miles from my house!
They suggest adding a Network Extender which they will gladly sell me for $250. Several angry phone calls up their chain of command and they agree to send me one for free.
The network extender works as advertised, albeit with very limited distance that barely covers my relatively small house. But there is one annoying issue that only occurs since adding the network extender: Oftentimes (but not always) the first text I send with 'fail' to send. I usually (but not always) will send when I hit resend.
Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this problem with their network extender? If so, did you find a solution? Going to Google away and try to find an answer and will post what I find but since I couldn't find a similar thread here I figured I'd start one!
