SAMSUNG NOTE 4 S.NOTES GONE TO HELL

Hey I am or I was a Samsung addicted client and I am moving over just because nobody can find the solution to restore my entire NOTE pads of which I spent the last 6 months creating with many long stories and pieces and even from a recently deceased sister. I am appaled that such an occurrence of such a magnitude can go without a resolve from the makers. It crashes, freezes, stop rebooting, corrupt other files, removes contacts, and destroy ones confidence in such a product.
IF YOU KNOW HOW TO BRING BACK S NOTES - PLEASE BE THE FOREVER KING OF THE HILL

Checked both and they are gone forever, even checked on the SD for hidden files and it is out of sight and in cyberspace. I am extremely frustrated for the lack of backup on something so important.

EDIT: Reading back to the 1st post, I do not see the word "Evernote" mentioned at all.
What note app were you using that all of the data got lost in?? And, was it Android or iOS ??
I see "S Notes" but you don't have that highlighted, so was it the Samsung "S Note" app?

I have never used that app.

About the only way that Evernote will delete all of the notes in one fell swoop, is to highlight ALL of them and hit DELETE.

I have been using Evernote since it arrived on the scene, and that is the only way I have seen it happening.

Not doubting your's might be gone, but it is a hard thing to do 'by accident'

Evernote will backup (File/Export) to a local drive, I do it once in a while just for piece of mind.
You highlight all, and select .enex, then the folder, then I suggest you preface the filename with 2016-03-02 Evernote.enex using the appropriate date of course.

right now though, you need to find your data, and it just about has to be on your PC somewhere.
I am assuming that you have the PC app on your PC ?

Have you gone to your Evernote files on a PC browser and they're all gone?
I only used the S Notes and never the Evernotes, maybe this was the mistake, however there was a major crash on the OS and even the guy at Samsung cannot connect to my Cel using their apps. It is too strange this whole ordeal and now the reboot is out of whack and I am assuming has apps cancer all over the system.

The thing about Evernote is, everything actually lives on a Server somewhere in the Cloud.....
but, a copy of it is always kept on your local device, whatever that might be.
for me, that is any smartphone I have ever used.... and all of the Windows PCs that I have used.

Each device is configured so that when I exit the app, any changes that I make locally are Sync'd up to the Server....
Each time you open Evernote, it checks to see if the local copy is in sync with the Server.... if not, it syncs right then.

Here is a scenario that I would postulate that "could have" saved your tailbone ( being pc here ).
your phone takes a crap, you dumped it in the toilet, it fell out of your hands, and bounced off the bridge and went kerplop in the bay.... never to be seen again.....

Oops!!! that was an expen$ive mi$take.... but, you open your wallet, buy a new SmartPhone, install Evernote again, login with your own Username and Password ( you damn well better never, ever, forget that password) and then when you are logged in, all of your "lost notes" come back to you.

You are happy that all is well in your mental health world, even though your bank account is thinner....

I really wish I could say the same for "S Notes", but IMO, any note taking app that only lives on the device is garbage.... w/o a daily backup, you are sunk.

For you? I don't understand, why "S Notes" was not being backed up onto the SD card?

A super neat thing about Evernote, is that it can store almost any kind of attachment you can think of.
I have images of every card in my wallet, all of my wife's cards....
I have PDFs stored.... Invoices that are super important, simple text type notes written right in Evernote....
or, Word Documents that I attach from my PC to Evernote....

When we go to see a doctor, I just whip out the phone, open Evernote, and go to the Medical File and scroll down to the card they want to see... the only reason to take the real card out of your wallet is so they can scan it. And that is only once/year.
