Samsung repeat alarm

Before I take the plunge and drop £500 on a Samsung can someone tell me if the Note5 has a sensible alarm? My HTC's alarm will sound until I turn it off, but my partners S3's alarm sounds for 20 seconds and then silences itself! Does the Note5's alarm wait for me to switch it off or is it possible to sleep through?

I don't recall having a problem with my S3 but I'm not sure I was using the stock clock. Right now I'm using both the stock alarm and the app "Timely" which can sync alarms across all your Android devices if you have more than one.

Try GOOGLE Clock,if for some reason,the stock (mfg) clock gives you issues:

Its not that it gives me issues, but the s3's alarm only lasts for 20 seconds or so and I can't be trusted to hear that.
