Root Samsung S6 root failure

MachoJamie

Lurker
I wiped the system and cache on my phone in TWRP and now can only enter download mode, boot logo screen or TWRP menu. I would like to get the android firmware back on there and get my phone back to normal but every time I flash the firmware on odin it says setup connect or NAND start write forever. PLEASE HELP ME!

What model S6 and do you have a Backup you can restore?
I have G920IDVU3EPC6. I do not have a backup and when im in TWRP it says there is no OS installed. I tried flashing the ROM on odin but it never got past setup connections or NAND write start

I will try that and let you know. thank you for the help and lets hope this works!

It would appear that it is downloading the firmware now. I have gone through the guide. In kies it says please connect a device, but how am I still going through this process if it says please connect a device?

Boot into download mode and connect to PC. Once firmware is downloaded it will start the flash.
Okay. I have done that. lets hope this works! all other flashing attempts didn't. I really need my phone back.

Thank you Jfalls63 for helping me. I hope this works so I don't need to bother you anymore. If for some reason it doesn't I hope it's not too much to ask for your help? Will let you know of the outcome, It's downloading the software update now (16%)

With international Samsung phones there is a way to choose the correct firmware using CSC and Product codes but to me this is easier.

Glad to hear it. Next time be sure to make Backup of stock with TWRP. Copy backup to PC. Since the S6 doesn't have micro SD card you can use small flash drive. I like the duel USB drives with micro and regular USB connection. You can restore a back up from them. Backups are your best friend.
Happy flashing.
