Samsung s6 wont update

I got my Samsung s6 off of amazon and is it on version 6 and it keep asking me to update and it will try to update but then will fail.

Also I switched from an iphone and this phone will send text individually in a group chat to people with iPhone so is there a way to fix that?

How much free space do you have? That might be the problem with the update.

Your message app should have a setting to select whether you send group messages as bulk SMS (i.e. to individuals) or MMS. However, if it's only a problem with iPhone users then it's quite possible that it's the iPhone, or more specifically iMessage, that is the problem. iMessage works as an internet messaging service between iDevices, but will "fall back" to SM or MMS for everyone else. The question is how does that work in a group chat? If they send you an individual SMS as part of the chat then there is nothing you can do. You may need to investigate it with one of the iPhone users. Does it make a difference who started the group chat?

To be honest almost all of my group chats are conducted using WhatsApp because this avoids any problems with platform-specific apps.

That should be more than sufficient. Does it give any particular message when it fails?

You could try clearing the cache partition (from recovery). Though it should be smart enough to do that itself if it needs to, of course.
