when charging the smsung galaxy tab 2 there is an "X" next to the battery symbol...What does this mean?

Hi, welcome to Android Forums.
The X next to the battery symbol means that your battery is not charging properly. Check the USB cable to make sure it is plugged in tightly to the wall adapter. Also, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 does not normally charge while connected to a PC.
