When you plug your tablet into your computer's USB port, there's two different things going on. One is the charging aspect, the other is the data transfer aspect. The charging part is more at a hardware level -- the USB port in your computer is connected to a USB bus inside, that provides the power to charge your tablet. It's essentially the same no matter what you're plugging into because it's not a software/operating system issue, it's hardware. The data transfer issue however, is more involved, especially with Windows as this often involves loading a driver file(s). The driver is needed in Windows for the operating system to interact with whatever device you're connecting to it. If the Windows OS doesn't/can't mount that device, than Windows Explorer can't detect it, nor can any of the applications.Tablet doesnt recognise any USB devices but charges from same port?
