Samsung TV and keyboard compatibility?

I have a Samsung series 6 smart TV and a Samsung wireless bluetooth keyboard, which doesn't work with the built in youtube app (making youtube effectively unusable). In other words, I have to search for videos typing letters one by one on the remote - which takes forever.

If I were to connect a Chromecast to the TV:

1. Would I have to control it from my PC or smartphone? Or would I be able to search for and browse videos directly from the TV?
2. Would the Samsung wireless bluetooth keyboard work with Chromecast?

Chromecast has no interface of its own. It basically just assumes playing of a stream you start on another device.

Yes I think so. That's the normal way a chromecast is used.
