Samsung uk

So i decided to simply switch to an S7 edge as the nearest replacement and as i bought straight from samsung i thought i'd ring them and sort an exchange just to put this behind me.

So far my attempts to do this include 2 phone calls, been given the same number to ring 3 times, and been transferred around 4 times, and promised one manager call back..

Samsung BADLY letting themselves down... I'm trying anther phone call now..

Try again in a couple of days probably, or even next week, I bet things are really in disarray there at Samsung service at the moment.

My advice is frankly, don't get another Samsung, I'm not.

I totally agree Mike, everyone should speak with their wallet by moving to another brand in protest. Then send an email to Samsung voicing your distaste of their improper handling of this entire fiasco and making sure to include a copy of the competitions receipt.

I got sent this article which prompted me into swift action before more and more UK couriers have problems. And barring thie N7 i've never had cause to complain about any samsung device.

I got through to a lovely lady who could not have been nicer and more helpful. Silver S7 edge coming thursday, price difference refund, and i get to keep all free gifts I was originally sent.

I have feeling this isn't coming today. No tracking link, no courier information, uk mail who usually do Samsung exchanges have an update on their website refusing to carry the note 7..

Spoke to Samsung who advised their primary courier UK mail are now refusing to carry the note 7. They assure me they will be ringing back "this morning"

With no Samsung store near me and no courier willing to work with Samsung I can see me being stuck with a potentially dangerous note 7 and out of pocket financially so unable to replace with an edge.

Oh, I would think that Samsung have a responsibility to provide a way of returning it. And they certainly wouldn't want more press stories about people being unable to return their phones, they want this shut up and finished (even though very few were sold in the UK), so I expect they will be finding some answer.

I hope so and to be fair they've been very helpful throughout this so far. I'll give them time to sort it out but will have to use the note 7 at work tomorrow as I need a phone. No way round that. I'll wait til this afternoon for a phone call and if nothing happens I'll ring them for an update.

I think Samsung will likely end up having to send out some sort of courier approved fireproof shipping container for the things, and ground and sea transportation only, NO planes.

As of close or business tonight Samsung UK are no further forward with a solution. They obviously have scripted answers to questions and for now that's all I'm getting. The Samsung UK website still only has general information as well.

Well I spoke again to them and I've ended told to expect an email that IT are starting to submit. The courier will collect the note 7 Tuesday night and the edge will be dropped off Wednesday morning. They've had to use two different couriers for safety of some sort. I'm still waiting on the email but it's helpful the end is in sight. I love my note but now I just want a settled phone.. Sick of chopping and changing.

Well that's it, my note 7 is gone. The courier just came. After all the carry on there was no special boxes, no special arrangements. He dropped it in a bag and that was that. S7 edge not here yet.. Samsung told me verbally that comes tomorrow. I've had no written confirmation so a little nervous but still.. the note 7 gone is the first step an ensures my safety.

As happy as I am that I'm finally on a settled phone. I am furious that I still haven't had the cash difference refunded. I've emailed, phoned and tweeted and I'm getting no where. So I'm currently paying note 7 prices for an S7 edge.

I haven't been following this thread so forgive me if I'm off point, but if your unhappy try going to trading standards?
