Samsung voice or Vlingo

I downloaded the update to vlingo from the app store, but it didn't update my samsung voice widgets I just got new ones. I guess that means they are two different apps.

In the samsung app I can tell it to play music but the vlingo one will just launch the player. Anyone know how to get it to play?

One more thing, which one do you think is better?

I have no idea but thank you for your post because when I play music from the voice command it brings up a player I wasn't even aware I had! Hope you find out your answer though!

Its a bug in epic 4g touch. There is no smooth integration between android and the music player in this phone at present. It sucks because I use doggcatcher for podcasts and used to easily control (at least pause and play) doggcather using my BT head unit in my car or BT headphones on my evo 4g. On E4GT the pause and play always default to winamp or your default music player (which most often is not what you want). Same with the voice command integration.

I believe the only solution is to wait for either android fix or samsung fix. I'm not sure who is to blame, as the android version I came from on my evo was 2.2 froyo (lol, but it was super stable).

Well, at least you can have fun with the stock Voice talk app for shock value at least. Under settings for voice talk, under customize main prompt, i changed it from "what would you like to do" to "What the (expletive) do you want now?" and it will actually say it. I did the "hi galaxy" in front of a friend of mine and he was in shock once the phone said it. I was cracking up!

Better yet, demonstrate that feature and then tell the friend you can make it recognise their voice. Then change the message to "hey dumb ass, what would you like for me to do" and hand them the phone. Tell them it knows who's speaking to it.

That is hilarious! I am cracking up right now. I forgot you can actually do that in any text. Think you are standing in a queue and there are people behind you and in front of you. And you open voice command. I can't wait to see the look on the people's face when they will hear that. lol:D

To top that, actually we should all go to Sprint Store and change that setting on their display phone. When the Store Rep demonstrate that feature to the customer, I can't even imagine how that situation would be with both the Rep and the Customer puzzled. And imagine if they have a kid with the customer. This thing can get crazy!
