Samsung will no longer turn on

[Android Question]

My Samsung galaxy 3 turned off lastnight while at 4% and wont turn back on. I tried charging it back up and even taking the battery back out and putting it back in. Does this mean the battery is burnt out or does the cellphone have damage to it?

Does your phone show the charging icon while it's turned off?
Does it vibrate when you try to turn it on?
Have you tried booting into recovery mode by pressing Home + VolumeUp + Power at the same time?
