How do I make the pc save to a flash drive or sd card instead of the hard drive? I have a flash drive installed but as far as I know nothing is being saved to it. Also, can I switch save locations if I want?

In Windows10 click the Start button in your lower left corner >systems> storage location. There you can set your default location where you want all your files to be saved at, if its internal or an external drive location.

Where is it in Windows 8.1? Do they even have it at all? It seems really basic. I was also wondering about backing up the hard drive. There's no way all that would fit on a flash drive or sd card. What would hold it all?

You buy an external hard drive that plugs into the USB port. Those go up to 6TB each.

Also what exactly do you mean by make the PC save to flash drive? I mean for example, if I want to save something to a flash drive, like a word document, I click "save as" then select the flash drive as the location.

How much do external drives cost? That sounds good, but I bet it's expensive. I should probably try "save as". By the way, I tried looking in control panel and the best they had was storage spaces. It said that there was nothing that could work with it (probably the extra hard drive(s) again).

Thanks, I guess the prices aren't too bad, considering. Is there a particular brand that's best? Also, does 1 tb equal 1000 gb?

1 Terabyte is 1000GB/1024Gb.

As for brands I'm partial to Western Digital. I have an 8 year hard drive from them that still works perfectly. Service is also awesome. I was out of warranty, but when I ordered them for new power cables for my older Book Drive, they sent over two of them for free.

That sounds great. In the meantime, I guess I'll just have to save stuff to the hard drive or Degoo.. The funny thing is they seem to be stuck in some kind of loop instead of saving anything. What can I do about the Degoo problem?

I know Degoo is an online cloud storage/backup service. What actual problem are you having with it?

I told it to save from assorted sources on the pc. It said it was starting to do that but
I guess it never finished. I don't know how to make it stop and begin again, or how to contact them to let them know about it.
