Save emails to OI File Manager?

I've yet to find a way to save emails to the SD Card on my Motorola Droid using OI File Manager. Is it possible, or am I trying on the wrong app?

I use OI Safe and it's great, but I've yet to discover the usefulness of the File Manager.

I don't believe there are any ways to save emails to sd card. I'm in the same boat as you. I'd like to save emails to my sd card but have yet to find a way other than using my pc.

Too bad..... My email comes through an Exchange server, although it's not my own corp's server. Problem is, if I mistakenly delete an inbox message, sending it to the Trash folder, I can't get it out of there and back into the inbox. This is really LAME! Then, if I make the lame mistake of deleting it from the Trash folder, it is of course gone from the server entirely and irretrievable even on my PC or my Droid.

There MUST be an app that allows me to save all my important emails to a safe folder and not leave it in the email mailbox.

No, I have not found a solution. The problem is just one of a handful that make me wonder if I shouldn't have gotten another Blackberry, when my other one bit the dust.

Here is a workaround that I stumbled upon:

For an email you want to keep,
Hit the reply button,
Then, without typing anything in the compose dialogue window,
Hit the "Save as Draft" button
The entire email will now appear in the "Drafts" folder which can be accessed by launching "Folders" or "Accounts"
These emails will remain in this folder until you delete them.

Let me know if this works for you.

Interesting idea, but it didn't work for me. It saved only that part which I would have written, and not the body portion of the email I received. On top of that, I need to also save some of those I originally sent.
