Save my battery a bit please.

I would like someone to advise me how to use less battery please. Yes, it's an odd question but there's a method in my madness. I'm about to start (hopefully) using a mifi for rail journeys that could take up to five hours. If the mifi is a success, I might try to use my galaxy tab 3 longer than the battery will allow, so if I can make a few adjustments (power saving) then maybe I will be able to have a degree of success.

The biggest power consumers are the screen and the mobile data radio. So, turn the screen brightness down as low as you can stand when using it and turn the data off when you dont actually need it. If the apps you are using have an option for dark rather than light screen backgrounds that can help in the long run as well.

You might consider a mobile battery pack to charge the tablet from on the go if you have problems - there are lots available.
