There may be an option to change to target directory when you save pictures from the e-mail, depending on which phone you have.
If not, pictures will probably be saved to the Downloads folder (you should have a shortcut to this in your app drawer). Use a file manager (I use a free one called File Manager) to move the files from this location to /DCIM/camera.
