How do you save text messages to the Sim card

Text messages by default can't be saved, you can however, back them up using any backup apps from the play store

On my s5 i could long press on the text and select copy to Sim

Sim cards are very limited as to what they can save and I don't think the text in a SMS message will save to a SIM. Do you mean an SD card?

Never used it but it's there.

I do agree that the storage space is probably not too great, and could probably store only a few texts.
