Saving emails on server

How do I retain emails on the server to respond to later, if I delete from my S7 then they're deleted from the server too. Is there not an option to retain emails on the server?

Depends how the server is configured or email provider wants. If using POP, the protocol always was you download all emails to the client, and they're cleared from the server.

Who's your email provider? What service are you using?

Try Gmail or other web based email provider instead. Because here, all emails are kept on the server(in the cloud).

I use Gmail and BTinternet. On my old Blackberry I had the option on my emails accounts to save messages on the server
