Root Saving Memory on Prism

Bought my Prism about 6 months ago. About 2 weeks ago, I started getting messages about low memory and phone's inability to store voicemail. Went to T-Mobile store today and reset phone. Short of rooting the phone is there anything I can do to avoid running out of memory. Should add that the only app that I want to add is Evernote.

Also, may want to eventually root the phone, but for now may want to try to see what can be done to save internal memory.

Thanks for any help that can be given.

Welcome to Phandroid/Android Forums! :hello:

Launch the web browser and go into Settings. Clear both the browser's cache and history. When I did this, it freed up more than 20Mb of memory. It helps to clear both of these every now and then.

There are also some apps that will clear the individual application caches, which also frees up memory. App Cache Cleaner is one of them and it doesn't require the phone be rooted. Note that I have never used this app or any other cache-clearing app, but I am looking at what is available.

Here is a thread on what clearing the application caches does:

Hope this information helps.
