saving ringtones via email/text message

i have been trying to send myself some new ringtones on my new htc hero. I have tried using both text and gmail. I cant save the attachment. Can anyone help.. It shows it is there but i can find no place to save it..

The Gmail app is a bit flaky with attachments, it only allows certain extensions. Try using the default Mail app. Once saved, move the ringtone to:

/media/audio/ringtones
or
/media/audio/notifications
