Saving texts?

Hi im new here and looking for some help, first of all im sorry if there is already a thread covering this but i have spent so long searching the internet looking for the answer my heads aching.
I have text messages on my phone that i would like to save to my computer, is there anyway to do this?
I also have a text photo i would like to save but dont know how.
I really want to save these messages before my phone gets full and i have to delete them.
 
Thank you for the help, i installed sms backup+ and it said it was backing up fine, it took a long time because of the amount of sms.
Now its finished where have the backed up sms gone i cant find them in my gmail account, how do i trace them?

In your gmail account they should be under a label called 'SMS'.
