SB510 - Total government control over our food

Now we have to put up with complete government control over our food. The FDA will have complete control over farms all in the name of safety. This is the latest bill which once again trample our Constitutional rights.

Take a look at what the FDA is doing even before this heinous law is even passed. They are raiding farms in the search for...RAW MILK!!! OMG, the death and destruction caused by free people buying raw milk.

Well it's a done deal. I believe all the democrats voted for it and about 20 republicans. These people are disgraceful. As if food prices aren't going to increase due to inflation, this bill will only hasten the high cost of going to the supermarket. I'm wondering how farmer's markets are going to handle the new law? It's going to be quite a burden on them.

You can thank BIG FOOD for this over reach of a bill. The gov't now controls the schools, the money, the housing market, cars, healthcare and now food. Next up will be media and the internet.

Can't wait to buy my government approved seeds for my garden this year. Don't know how I survived all these years without their stamp of approval on my seeds.

actually its not a done deal....... it was passed in the senate...... but is going to be kicked back due to certain provisions not originating in the house.... most likely it wont happen this session

I havent formed an opinion on this but;
Obviously we need some level of food regulalation but...

What is happening with this bill?
I believe the whole raw milk being dangerous is waaay blown out of proportion, and is probably better for you if its regulated properly.

Another thing is GM food - most MEPs are so paranoid about it that we have very little R&D on it
Its even worse in Ireland
IMO - Organic is good - Organic + GM is better
GM foods could be made more pest resistent and drought resistent etc
