Ok I need help fast! I have a moto droid and I tried putting the newest fission onto my cousins droid 2. It wont get past the M symbol and yeah when I try to go to recovery it gets there but when I press volume up and camera button no menu comes up.

It is different on the Droid 2. To get into stock recovery you need to turn it on while holding x. When you get to the screen with the ! you have to hit the hardware search button.

Ok no problem but what do I do after that? How do I use stock recovery to get me back to a working condition when he is running super clean 2.4.5

didnt work...just stays at the M as usual. Are you supposed to wipe the system partition when you change roms?

Trying to flash now but RSDlite won't recognize the phone. Was I supposed to download the motoconnect drivers from here:
USB and PC Charging Drivers - Motorola, Inc. USA

Nothing is working

You need the moto drivers, yes.

I did download and install, it's not showing the device in RSDlite. Using 64-bit windows. Maybe something is wrong? antivirus?

I have 64 bit windows 7, never had any issues. Try disconnecting and reconnecting a few times, maybe different ports.

What screen should my droid be when i connect? I have 2 options, the screen with the triangle and the recovery screen that says "reboot now, wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache" when i hit the hard search button.

Yea make sure your RSD lite is up to date as well

How do I get into the bootloader screen?

RSDLite should put it into the bootloader screen once it detects the phone and you start.

Turn off phone hold power button and x on keyboard
Wait for ! then hit magnifying glass on keyboard

I can do those things and found out that if you hit up and the power button you get into the bootloader. RSDlite is just not recognizing the phone.

When i tryed to flash an sbf it says pass but on the bootlader i get error

Anyone know if there is a auto-deodex .zip.that we can run in CW Recovery for the d2g. My dad just got one and I'm gonna root it and install wifi tether for him and remove the bloatware as well. But I was at least wanting to get him a black bar notification bar. I need to deodex the system. Just wondering if anyone knows how and if there are even any themes for the d2g yet... not gonna install fission. He doesn't want a custom rom. I'm also not sure if I should consider the D2G as a totally different phone from the D2 or if I can use the same themes for both. Thanks for the help, guys over at the DX part of this forum are super helpful, figured y'all would be too.

P.S. If there isn't a script can someone please point me in the direction of a list of bloatware I can remove on the D2G? I can rename it with Root Explorer or freeze it with Tibu. A .zip would be nice since I like being lazy though, haha.

Seriously... no one can help? There has to be a list somewhere around here... can I use the list for the DX?

The list for the DX is very similar, probably usable.
