SCH-i500 power button issue

Hi, often when trying to turn off my samsung mesmerize the power button generates a screen snapshot instead of turning off the unit. During those times I often just have to let the battery run down until it turns itself off.

Anybody know what's wrong or how to repair it?

Also try rebooting the phone, that should also stop it.
