Help Screen flicker on Mate 2

Hi, I'm in the UK and bought my Huawei Ascend Mate 2 from the USA on ebay. After 1 day of normal use, good care and no battery charging the screen began to flicker (see pics).

I've tried rebooting and a factory reset - no joy.

The reason I'm posting is... does this look like it could be resolved by a software fix or does it look like a hardware issue. Any advice appreciated.

That's really bizarre. If you're not rooted and a factory reset doesn't fix it, I'd guess it's a hardware issue.

This happened to me too once and it hasn't happened since. But it's a bit concering considering Huwaei isn't going to support the devices
