Screen light not working, but it still sense my touch

I just replaced the cracked screen. The phone was working fine before I fixed the screen . After I put the new screen on, the LCD Digitizer did not come back on but the phone does. The screen can sense my touch becuase I can hear the noise it makes when I hit buttons. HELP!!!
