Screen lock app which doesn't change the wallpaper

Hi,

Is there a screen lock app which doesn't change the default wallpaper? I currently have a wallpaper which is a part of a whole theme, and I don't want to change it.

Please note that this is not the primary reason I want a screen lock app. I want to install screen lock app for entirely different purposes, but most of them change the default wallpaper, so that is why this question/post.

What phone model and version of Android do you have? You should be able to keep the same wallpaper for your lock screen and home screen without the need for an app.

I think I wasn't entirely clear in my question. What I mean was that I want to have a screen lock app for entirely different purposes, but I don't want that app to change the default wallpaper.

I must be more tech-stupid than I thought. I can't think of a single reason one would need an app to lock the screen. Don't most phones just have that in their settings??

I'm a little confused, too. You want to be able to lock the screen beyond the standard lock screen, but have it use the same wallpaper? Maybe if you explain a little more of what you want need it for we can recommend something.

Every phone/company's lock screen differs in what it has to offer. Many people want more or less than what their default lock screen does.
FYI: There are many lock screen apps in Play Store with many downloads. There must be a reason people want those.

What I want primarily from a lock screen app, is irrelevant here as most of those apps offer those functionalities. What I don't get is what I mentioned in this post and that is a screen lock app which doesn't change the default wallpaper. I have a theme installed, and I don't want a separate wallpaper on the lock screen. I can't or do not know how to single out a wallpaper from a theme so I can't just put it there myself on the screen lock app.

Depending on your particular device I believe it would be easier for you to do just that. Your settings should allow you to pick whatever you want on your lock screen. Even a low-tech level guy like me has been able to do it. I think this route would be far less work and not have the headache of adding another app to do this that would also likely have other un-intended side effects you would now have to deal with

Depends on your phone, all of the android family has been the same to me, just tap on a clear section of your screen, underneath it will say wallpaper also like tap on it, it will show set as lock and homescreen.
